"They Cannot Fall"

I am so blessed.
My Father in Heaven keeps sending me blessings, left and right, up and down, sideways and crossways. Even diagonal.
I have a new plan that encompasses everything I have been wanting to do for the past few months. I have an interview for an additional job that I want. I will be starting a new chapter in my life.
Just when I was getting discouraged, starting to give up. And BAM!
Blessings!
With God all things are possible. I can do anything. Because I have God on my side.
27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
Mark 10:27

Because what I am going to do, I cannot do on my own. I could try and fail.
Not with God.

12 And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind,  yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.
Helaman 5:12

Cannot: to be unable to do otherwise than
If you follow Christ, there is no possible way that you can stray or fall away from the path. It is impossible. You CANNOT.
And so I will succeed.

The Dog Days are Over!

Day 2: 3rd visit: 4th numothorax: 1st solution!
Here's the story. (It's a good one!)
Monday morning my mom noticed she was coughing every time she stood up. A phone call and a nurse later she went to the instacare for an x-ray.
The x-ray was sent and the doctor ordered another x-ray for Wednesday just before her doctor appointment.
The doctor told us she had more air in her lung and should have surgery soon. He did let us know that if she wanted a second opinion, he completely understood. That was something of a relief.
Rewind to Tuesday night.
Our home teacher came over and gave my mom a blessing with my dad. In the blessing she was told she would know exactly what to do. She would know and have peace. At the time she was considering going to SLC to see a Pulmonologist, luckily we went to the doctor/surgeon first because he said not to travel, it could be extremely dangerous.
Back to the doctor appointment *fast forward*
The doctor answered every one of her questions and they scheduled her surgery for the next day (Thursday at 1:30).
Thursday morning she suddenly started having more trouble. For other procedures she had procrastinated the day away, not wanting to know what they were going to say. Thursday she was ready 5 minutes early, clean, teeth brushed, ready to go. She was confident that God knew what he was doing and he would bless her (and he did!)

The surgery went well and this is what the doctor was doing inside of her :

In the upper left hand corner is a Bleb. Yes that is the real name of it. A bleb is pretty much a type of blister on the outside of your lung. The doctor described it as "HUGE". The upper right and lower left are pictures of him taking the bleb off. The lower right picture is the hole all stapled up.
Now you may be wondering why it took 4 trys to find this.
Let me tell you!
95% of all numothorax's are in the upper part of the lungs. 4% are in the lower part. 1% is on the underside. Guess where my mom's was?
That's right. The underside, part of the 1%, right where the CAT scan couldn't find it!
Fantastic news, she shouldn't have any more problems! She will be in the hospital for a few more days and then be home and on the mend!
Thank you for your prayers! We have felt them all month long!

Fantastic!

I am on a Fantastic kick.
Fantastic Four

Fantastic friends

but most of all, Fantastic Blessings.
For a few weeks now I have had second thoughts about my choice of Major.
I know that I can choose what ever I want, but I also want to keep myself on a path where I will be able to help myself, my family, and as many people as I can in the process.
Teaching seems like a fantastic way to do that.
But what about music?
I love music!
it is a huge part of who I am!
Education Major? Music Major?
I haven't been sure.
After class today I felt like I should go and talk to my education teacher.
"nah," I thought. "she is busy, and besides I don't even know what I would talk about."
So I left the building, walked across campus and spent 3 minutes logging onto  a computer.
By this time the prompting to go and talk to my teacher was even stronger.
So, shaking my head, I logged off the computer, walked back to the Education building and into her office.
Still not sure what I wanted to talk about, I just started talking.
Not 2 minutes went by before she told me.
"Your talents in music wont' go to waste by being a Teacher, you will just help those kids even more."
How Fantastic is my Heavenly Father?
More than I could ever Express.
But I can say this, Without Him....
I wander.
With Him
I have more power than I know.

Out of Balance

What is wrong?
Right now.
Something is wrong right now in my life and I need to fix it.
What do I do all day?
Without School
1. Watch Doctor Who
is that bad? No I just do it waaaaaay to much
2.  Get on the computer and check Facebook, Tumblr, Deviantart, e-mail, Pinterest, anything else I can think of... Just to waste time
Is that bad? No, I just do it waaaaaaaaaay to much!
3. Watch something else
Is that bad? Yeah, wasting time.
4. Go to friends houses and watch more tv there
l-a-m-e
5. go to friends houses and sit and talk
great sometimes, but when that and tv is all we do? No thanks.

So I need a change.
What is that change?
Change
1. give myself a limit on Doctor Who
Fine I can do that, and I can have exceptions but only with friends and only if I have followed my rules
2. Keep track of each time I get on the internet
How long I am on, and What I do while I am on for an entire week
3. with family, it's fine, friends it's fine.
More than 4 hours a day? Probably not
4. go to a friends house to DO something.
Party with a movie, just a party, going out to do something, staying in to do something. anything!
5. make a list of things to do.
Do them
ok.
I have some changes. Now I just need to do them.
Implement them.
I can do that.

Serve
Pretty sure that is the best thing I can do.
When I go to friends houses, offer to do things for them or with them to make their lives better
When I am at home do more things for my family that wouldn't normally get done.
When I am by myself, think about someone else. Make them something to make them happy.
What would Jesus Do?
He would Serve people.
He would help them to become better by setting an example.
I don't know how to do that very well but I can certainly try.
I can try
I can do
I can be better

Art
I want to do it.
I want to be an artist.
I want to animate a superhero cartoon, preferably with the Flash.
I want to illustrate a children's book.
I want to help people see the world better.
How can I do that with just art?
 How can I do that?

Family
I need to have better relationships with my family.
My brothers need me to be here for them
I am not right now
I need a job so I can get money to treat them
I don't have to have money to treat them
can be a kind, fun sister without that
I want the be the sister that they grow up and still call because they miss her.
The kind that they hang out with during high school and don't care what other people think.

"It's a Wonderful Life"

I am fairly certain I don't deserve my wonderful friends!
And my family? I must have done something AMAZING in the pre-existence to deserve having them as my family!
My life is so blessed, so wonderful!
I shouldn't even want to ask for more!
Yet I need more. I do need some things.
I would like to think that I won't need things later, but I will.
Yet God, in his infinite mercy will give me everything I need when I ask in faith.
When I need something, I need to do is ask him.
Just ask.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5–6.
when I think of that, How can I not shout for joy?
